============================================== DAVE JUSTICE AND RADIOACTIVE GOLD WITH A SPECIAL INTERVIEW WITH DEE DEE OF DICK AND DEE DEE ON ROCK-IT RADIO #2650
Dick Goating and Mary Sperling were two California kids who became one of music's most memorable duos. 'Dick and Dee Dee', who had a string of hits that encompassed the world. They had a burning desire to succeed and from 1961 to 1969, they toured with the who's who of the music business. They were one of Dick Clark's favorites, and were part of his Caravan of Stars road tour. They were regulars on the ever-popular 'Shindig' television show, and became Amerca's Sweethearts. But all that seemed to be really wasn't, as you'll hear on this special edition of the RadioActivE Gold show exclusively on Rock-it Radio. The interview with Dee Dee is based on her book 'Vinyl Highways' which is an honest and heartfelt look at what she endured during her nine year recording career. While a part of Dick and Dee Dee, her life was consumed with not stop touring, radio and TV appearances and recording studio dates. Her personal relationships were put on hold, and she looked for inner peace at a tranquil spot called 'Shrine Lake'. Dee Dee Phelps is amont the nicest artists I have ever had the pleasure of interviewing. She's perky, down to earth, and tells the story the way it happened. There's humor, confrontation, sadness, and triumph in her book. which can be purchased directly through Dee Dee's website at: http://www.dickanddeedee.com Sit back and enjoy, the Dick and Dee Dee Story, heard exclusively on Rock-it Radio. Here are the Dick and Dee Dee Songs also featured in this show.
Hour 1 1. I Want Someone 2. The Mountain's High 3. Goodbye To Love 4. Tell Me 5. Young And In Love 6. Long Lonely Nights Hour 2 1. Where Did All The Good Times Go? 2. Love Is A Once In A Lifetime Thing 3. Some Things Just Stick In Your Mind 4. Turn Around 5. All My Trials 6. Be My Baby 7. Thou Shalt Not Steal 8. You Were Mine
If you would like to send Dave a comment on this show or a request for a future show including anyone that you might want to see interviewed here on Rock-it Radio you can contact him at: radioactivegold@rockitradio.net
